When those cars were a year old, they really were "no big deal." They were yesterday's news, literally.

That's why, after 1963, most bigtime Pontiac racers went to Ford or Chrysler.

You'd have to direct your questions regarding Joe DeNick to the person who actually spoke to him about this car.

If you're interested in the history of Joe DeNick actually buying the car new, just speak with some Pontiac guys in the Philly area who knew the car.

Ben Pilla, who owned and still owns speed shops in the Philly area, might be one guy who will confirm that for you.

You might also want to hunt down Nick Boninfante, Sr., who was also a Pontiac racer at the time.
