I have a stroked '78 400 I'm trying to fit into my '67 LeMans. On the passenger side I had to grind on the mount to make it clear the bolt that holds the adaptor plate to the block--no problem. But now on the driver side there is an extra saddle (undrilled) which prevents putting the bolt through the adaptor plate and to the mount. Should I try to hand drill and tap the block and then bolt the mount directly through the adaptor plate to the block, or can I grind off the saddle on the block and use the adaptor plate as I did on the other side? If this is unclear I can make pictures of it all and post them. I'm hoping someone has had this exact same problem and knows what to do. Thanks alot.
