Precisely. Thank you for proving my point. They would not want titles in their name for precisely the reason you just mentioned.

They provide proof of possession through a company that sponsors their floor plan. In most cases, that company holds the open title, because they also finance(read: OWN) the vehicle.

Besides, that actually makes you think the dealership owns ANY vehicle that they sell?
