X: Have you found that bracket yet? About the only way you can come up with an original bracket and allen screw is to buy a complete mirror assembly or else take one off a car with a crapped out mirror.
If your cables don't have the insulated cover over them, go to Home Depot and buy a piece of plastic tubing and slide it over them. It should be about a foot or so long, ideally covering the area from the control through the firewall. It should be just big enough in diameter to fit the cables into without crimping them in the process.
You can have my home made allen screw for $10 shipped. If the bracket in the PY catalog is correct then with this screw you should be in good shape. Send me an e-mail and let me know if that suits.
