I sure hope those crane springs are'nt their #99840-16 single springs.

If they are you may be in for a repeat of your current mess...

Get some better springs,I recommend crower #68404-16 dual springs,they install at the stock height,require no machine work to fit,and are good to at least .550" lift,and are a much better spring compared to the crane single spring.

I've had three of those crane single springs fail on my '72 GTO 455 H-O motor,luckily they were caught each time before any real damage occured,anyhow needless to say they were $#!*canned before they got a chance to fail again.

And this was with the original 068 H-O cam and 1.5 rockers so they were nowhere near their max. lift figure.

Use them at your own risk...
