If you plan on doing any serious drag racing then an automatic is way better for may of the reasons mentioned. But it is a lot of work and money to convert and make it look factory again. I would stay with your four speed and get a GOOD rebuild be a reputable shop unless your aiming for regular time at the strip. Besides 4 speeds are fun and cool.
