I was at a junk yard once, was purchasing a 428 but the distributer wouldn't come out, they were going to charge me for the distributer. I lifted the whole engine up by that darn distributer and it still wouldn't come out. They wanted like 32 bucks and I was on a budget. So here is the engine hanging by the distributer and me with a big hammer. It finally came out but they lost 32 bucks because it was a pile of parts all over the place when I got done.
Wrong oil will sludge the bottom of the distributer causing it not to come out. Good luck
