Steve, I did a 700R4 conversion in my 64 Tempest just a couple of weeks ago. It is behind a 421 Tri Power. I used Bowties crossmember and it worked great. The TV cable setup was a bit of a pain with the tripower but all is working well now. The trans adapter made the boltup to the Pontiac engine a breeze. I used the TH350 yoke, stock 1310 u joints and had my shaft shortened and balanced. If I can be of any other help send an email.
