lacquer is basically junk. I have been a bodyman for over 20 years and I learned how to paint spot repairs using lacquer. Base clear is WAY better stuff as far as ease of application adn durability and just about anything else over lacquer. I have had real good results with the NAPA Crossfire system, pretty reasonable and seems to last pretty well.
