If he had problem with the spring going away after break-in......then apparently he doesn't know how to heat cycle and break-in a competition spring.
Ran em, run em. No issues. But like anyting else there are better springs, just cost more.
I had 4 sets of Isky springs fail way back during short track racing and in the heat races. Not the cheap roller ones either, there G.N. springs.
