I currently have a Chrysler A833 (Hemi) 4 speed in my street 70 GTO. Liberty modifys the input shaft to be the correct length, and adds the correct pilot bearing onto the end. You still need the correct clutch disc (11" dia, 18 spline). Liberty also puts one of their bearing retainers on so it will register properly in a GM bellhousing. The bellhousing needs to be modified to take the Hemi trans bolt pattern and you need an adapter to set the trans mount to the correct height and adapt to a GM mount. The crossmember will need to be moved back. You will need a Super Shifter shifter and whatever stick puts the shifter where you want it. All in all not very difficult.
My setup has all of 50 miles on it, and this weekend Im putting a TKO-600 5 speed in the car, so the complete hemi trans conversion from clutch disc bellhousing, tranny, trans mount and Mark Williams 1350 yoke will be for sale. The gearset in mine is 2.65/1.93/1.39/1.00. E-mail me if youre interested.
