Rab, I don't think anybody is disputing the fact since GM owns the marketing rights to "Pontiac GTO" that these cars in the manufacturing sense are GTOs. Given the lack of product developement, marketing, GTO identity and overall negative reaction a precedent may have very well been set for a 2nd demise of the GTO. GM had a real opportunity with the GTO to be the leader in a renewed musclecar movement and they blew it. <HR></BLOCKQUOTE>

Who cares? That was 40 freakin' years ago. And how does that have anything to do with Pontiacs dismal sales figures now? Comparing technology then and now is an empty argument.
