I hired into the Fisher Body plant in Pontiac Mi. in 1968, that is where all the GTO bodys where built. The way we used to repair the clip studs is with a screw in the clip, so if that is the way you repair it than it is the same way the factory would do it (so I guess it would be factory correct) you would be surprised how many cars are out there with screws, we would break the studs all the time when we installed the clips
