Drum spindles for '64-67 & '68-72 A-bodys are not the same as '67-72 A-body disc spindles. In order to modify later drum spindles, have built both a fixture to trim the boss down when positioning drum brake spindle on the chopsaw. Without this fixture, the spindle wanders on the chopsaw table & the chopsaw blade ruins more spindles than it helps convert. Also need another fixture to propperly position the spindle on the mill to cleanup, then counterbore, & finally re-tap the drum spindle. Lastly, have to have the special 7/8" long 15x16" head bolts which attach the caliper bracket to the disc spindle, these are finally avail in the aftermarket. Only 1" long versions can be found through bolt houses.
