i would say that if you could get it for $5,000 and were able to do all of the work yourself , you may stand to make $1,000-$2,000 on it. the big cars usually top out at the $8,000-$10,000 mark. you have to remember the cost of equipment and supplies to get it to that point also. i have found that cars always look better in someone else's driveway, meaning when you get it home ,you will find more flaws than expected.
