I think it must be the AC thing, because I'm telling you that my non-AC repro dash from PY fit PERFECTLY and looks GREAT! No hacking or modifications required at all.
I just painted it the correct color with vinyl dye and put it on.
I'll send pics to anyone who wants to see it.
