You say it 'does not line up'.
Do you mean the register size (hole in the center) doesn't match up to your crank? Or do you mean the bolt pattern?
Your '74 engine may have a '76 or later crank in it with a smaller 2.490" register, the earlier cranks had the 2.750" register.
