I used a fan off of a 87 fiero gt on my 71 firebird. I used the fan relay off a 88 firebird and ran it to a switch inside and a hypertech 160 switch to turn it on and off automatically like the other guy has. I also have a flow cooler water pump from summit and a griffin aluminum radiator it think its the 27.5x19 $189.95. I have had zero problems with overheating in the nasty humid hot air here its never gotten hotter then 180 in traffic and sitting in the lanes at the track it stays at 160. I run 7.60 at 90 in the eigth with 3.23 and unported d ports so its got decent power its cooling. I have had no alternater issues. I like it a lot better then the stock thermo fan it revs easier and runs smoother. I'm going to put one on my 91 truck next.
