Tiger Claw, My ST-300 does whine in park/netrual, not that loud though, and I can't hear anything abnormal while driving. Not sure how loud yours actually is, or if it happens while driving, but I have never heard that.
I can certainly respect it if you are set on keeping that tranny, but it makes no sense to me why you would soup up your engine like that and keep the 2-sp? Dollar per dollar, a TH-350 will be the cheapest performance upgrade possible. Hell, for the price of the headers alone, you could bolt up a TH-350, and that tranny will do more for you then headers ever will on that combo. Keep the logs, and swap the tranny. Just my $.02
