Well I pick up my block and crank tomorrow.
While waiting for the machine shop to do their thing I settled on the Summit 2802 cam and lifter set, they arrived today. The lifters are HT-951 and seem VERY EASY to push down on. I can depress the plunger about 1/4 inch with my finger. My old Crane lifters that I have are very hard to push down, can't do it with a finger at all.
So my question is, are these HT-951 lifters any good? I know they are made by Melling, but why are they so weak?
Should I take the guts out of the Cranes and put them in the HT-951 bodies? Or just install them as they are?
Thanks
