The cosmetic differences between the '04 and '05 are: Scooped (functional) hood and separated exhaust pipes.

The only real difference between the '04 and '05 is the LS-2, otherwise, they are the same car. The 50 hp increase of the LS-2 is pretty easy to build into the LS-1, fwiw...
