It cant be easier. They both have covers{pans}. Remove the bolts on the trans pan leaving one end allowing the fluid to drain {if there is no drain plug}. Replace the filter clean the pan and replace the gasket. When reinstalling the bolts becareful not to over tighten. You will break the gasket.
REmove the rear cover bolts leaving the top one loose to drain fluid. After removing the cover wipe out the inside of the case, replace gasket and refill with correct fluid {posi or non posi fluid}.
Let the car down and put 3 quarts of fluid in the trans and run engine. Shift through the gears and check level on dipstick {in either park or neutral as required}. Add as necessary.
Good luck and try to stay clean.
PS. Gear lube stinks so try not to get it on you.
