Last night I was pondering this issue as I had my gauges apart all over the kitchen table. You'd have to take the individual number wheels all apart from eachother. These were not designed to do that without very high risk of breaking the rod that holds 'em together and/or causing permanent misalignment. I suppose it may be possible. I tried rolling them back for a few minutes before I decided I didn't want to run my fingers 66 K miles (would have taken a month).
I gave up and decided I could live with a 66 K reading. Looks kinda natural for a 38 year old car. If you need to lie, you always have the option of claiming the mileage is original. I'll say that I have no clue about mileage. I'll just keep track of mileage on the engine and since restoration.
