Dutch, Ho, yes it can, 970 locktite can withstand the twisting motion of the nut. And, yes you can get them out by using a double nut on the stud and back them out. ARP is like any company with employees. Mistakes can and will happen. They make a great grade 8 bolt. The final quality control is always the builder’s job.

Making a longer bolt cost more and in most cases it is not needed.

Remember, if it dose not sound good, look good or smell good, it probable isn’t good. So don’t use any bolt that is to short.
