What would you call a great head? 375 cfm at 28"?
425 cfm at 28"? A 500 cfm head?

A buddy of mine created a 450 cfm pontiac head about
10 years ago from a billet. It had a SB-2 style port
spacing configuration but used a very good (at the time) BB Chebby Dart port with a 2.19 intake valve.

Two issues with the head were, at that time, the lack of an intake manifold (custom built reqd) and the shaft
valvetrain set-up.

Today a shaft set-up could be created to work with the
Intake/Exhaust pattern and the IA-2 block would be able
to handle the required bore size increase.

It would probably be an alcohol head though due to being a billet.

Let me know if you need more info when you want to build a BIG head.
