My Firebird
I use the X-brace as well as bolt in subframe connectors. The connectors must be notched and reinforced, but just bolted in. FYI, they bent badly without the reinforcements as the notches really weaken them. Check out the Suspension Upgrades page for pictures of the subframe connectors.
Suspension Upgrades
You may also consider adding a Hellwig roll bar...they come with an additional set of mounting points up to the frame rails (requires drilling a couple holes in the frame rails). It is clearly pictured in the last picture under the suspension upgrades.

new PYPES exhaust
You will get a better picture of the Hellwig sway bar install, the X-brace install using the new spacers from PYPES as well as the PYPES 2 1/2 inch full exhaust with the X pipe.
