Hello All, Here the things that i have done to the car so far. I have replaced the stamped impeller pump with a cast impeller and adjusted the clearance of the plate as sugested by George. Have tried a 160 and 180 thermostat both stock and high flow. Car has a 4 core radiator in it with electric puller and pusher fans. The motor seems to do fine at idle, my problem is that it overheats while driving, gets to about 210-215 range. I have read in these forums that a stock 400 bird has a fin under the lower valance to help pull air up into the radiator? Could this be my problem, the fact that a 350 bird does not have this?
If anyone has a picture of the 400 bird setup i would love to see it.
