428 & Eric I think I know what's going on
I removed the orange wire to the clock as suggested, and plugged in the lights. They didn't light up, I then turned the headlights on, and they still didn't light. I then took a jumper wire and clipped it to ground, and then to the back of the clock case. The lights turned on, I then moved the jumper from the case to the power terminal of the clock, and the lights came back on. This confirms that the power feed for the clock is some how shorted to the case. It also tells me the clock case is not grounded. So I'll have to pull the clock apart and find out where the power is making contact with the case. Thanks for your help.
