You'll still have a slight lope at idle when using Rhodes on a R.A. IV cam. I think they would be a great choice for a low compression 455 (ie - 9:1-10:1) with that cam. I've run similar cams (and somewhat larger) in my old combo that still idled lumpy with the Rhodes, but not as lumpy with standard lifters.
