I agree - these tires would be way too small for the GTO. In the rear would need something like 255-45's on the 8.5" rim (with an inch less backspacing) or better yet 285-40's on about a 10" rim. There are some staggered set-up's (18x8 front / 18x10 rear) for 5-series BMW's that have backspacing that I think would work really well.


As for the color, it is hard to see in this light (and in photos in general). It was painted in the early '80's (well before I got it). A former owner owned a body shop and did it to show off his work. It's has about 8 coats of lacquer candy apple over yellow pearl on top of Cadillac Firemist Gold. The guy who painted it said there was no way to duplicate with the paints available today.
