i have a 73 lemans that i put hedman headers on. i had the same problems. had to put the car on a lift to get the drivers side one in. i don't think you will have any problems with the oil filter , i don't. it is a little close , but not more than a half inch closer than the y-pipe was. you will get messy changing the oil though , and some will drip on the headers , good excuse to take it out and burn the oil off!!
