Im pretty sure the AC box is supposed to be natural fiberglass finish with clear coat on it, which is a dark brown color.

Not sure if you knew that or not, maybe you are just painting it as a personal preference but it sounded like you were trying to make everything look as it was from the factory so I thought I would mention it. Unless you dont have AC and meant heater box then proceed sir
