Denial. Didn't they learn anything from the failure of the 04?

Apparently so, nothing wrong with the original price...

12.02.04: "GM reports sales down 13%..... Pontiac sales down 76% largely due to the GrandAm being replaced by the G6 and lower than anticipated sales on the Australian bred GTO." Lansing State Journal.... I think plenty of people would have bought this car at the original price if it had more of a visual appeal....30k is too much to ask for a car that looks like everything else out there. GM could help matters by not making a test drive so elusive. I had to "schedule" mine in the summer of 04. What a joke, the car had been sitting for months. If they want people to forget the bland looks, the marginal quality and focus on the performance then they should be making this car readily accesible for test drives...in other words promoting the sh*t out of it and getting as many people behind the wheel as possible. They've already botched up the GTO name so they can't coast on that anymore. They'll need to sell this car on performance if it is going to sell at all.
