I use a RR aluminum, Stewart high flow 180 stat, and flowcooler pump. Brand new engine so no blocked passages. New HD clutch and Pontiac A/C fan. Stroker 400 on pump gas.
Mixes ran temp too high 50/50, 70/30. Plain water and water wetter took temps down to 180 steady.
Worked great for my combo....
