i disagree. You are putting hot water from the rear of the engine, bypassing the heater core and then putting that hot water into the water pump directly. the heater core removes the heat from the water before returning it to the pump. No heater, no heat removal, so return water is still hot and it mixes with cooled water from the radiator at the pump, thereby heating up the water now going to the engine. Ask me how I know, since i bypassed a heater on the highway due to a leak, and then about 5 miles down the road, the engine overheats. Plugged off both lines, so no flow back to pump. Overheating problems solved.
