hey brian, sorry they did not work out for ya, dont worry about any extra shipping,...I remember when I put them in I used my floor jack to lift car then a hydraulic jack between the frame & axle, this jack opened up the gap & I was able to use a crow bar as a shoe horn to install. have a great day
