I would drive it till you get tired of the 301 or it starts smoking and needs a rebuild, then pull it and put it in the shed and drop in a 400 or 455 with a TH350 or TH400 and roll with it.
That is just my opinion, the car will never be worth a fortune, but if you decide to go back origionall later on you always have the origional motor.
