Have a set of Dynomax Ceramic coated headers on a 68 bird. You can remove the filter, But it will be tough and a mess on the headers even if you cover them
. The filter will be a lot cooler
and much easier to change as a remote. Why not change it now and not have to fight with it in the future. Adds life to the motor keeping oil cooler.Just make sure you use the proper size hose, prefer braided, and always prime the external filter.
