The main thing you need to watch out for on the
Olds V8 when you are changing intakes is that
you cannot install the new intake gasket assembly without putting silicone sealer around
the water jacket holes on both sides of the gasket. If you don't do this, it will dump antifreeze in your oil in short order. On virtually any other domestic V8 you can install the intake gasket dry as it comes out of the box....Not so with the Oldsmobile. (been there and done that)
