Most of us in the snow-and-rust belt don't drive our older cars for daily use year-round, even if they're beater/drivers like mine. Uses 'em up too fast. You always need a throwaway car for the winter where there's ice and salt. Hondas and Toyotas are cheap, reliable, and there's millions of them.
