Officially NHRA says as of now the rules are the same. Unofficialy it looks like the new chassis tags will have punch outs as to how fast your vehicle will be permitted to run.

It looks like the 8.50 tag will be for door cars, street roadsters, and some altered cars, hints are that you won 't need any modification to cage until 8.50 sec. This could be limited to Comp. Elim., but don't hold your breath. There have been some pretty bad incidents this year with these cars and the reports are mounting to a point where they are going to have to make changes. They are mainly interested in the floor area. No hints from deep throat that it will affect ET brackets. BUT????
