Big Lou,

What I was trying to tell our German friend is that seeing as he lives in Germany and there are several English companies dealing in windscreens for American cars, he would be MUCH better off buying from England.

Cost might be (a lot) higher but if he bought from an American company he is going to have to wear the risk of it it getting damaged en-route to Germany.

If he buys from England, those guys will be selling to Europe anyway so they will know how to get it to him safely.

I still say though that his best option is to take a few days off and drive the car to England (that's easy), have it fitted, pay the man and drive home. Certainly the way I'd be doing it. Cost of a ferry ride including the car is very cheap.
