Gteetings. I own a 97 Bonneville with about 125K miles. About a month ago its started making a very faint whining sound that seems to become less noticable at higher speeds but is now getting louder. No codes yet. At first I thought my power steering fluid might be low. The trans was worked on when still under an extended warranty about 60k miles ago when I experienced shifting problems between 52-54 MPH. (A bore in the throddle body was honed which was bypassing fluid.) A check of the fluid shows that its just above the full mark but does not have the clean pink color anymore. Any thoughts as to what I should check first? I already plan on changing the fluid and filter this week. The car is driven daily on predominately 90 highway miles per day, 5 days a week.
