As for your question, yes you can use a 400 head on a 455, and I would say that you would want to use the 98cc head over a 114 head if you want to do a performance rebuild. Even with the extra cubes of a 455, 114cc's is going to leave you with a pretty low compression ratio. However, it all depends how much performance you are trying to make. So my second bit of advice is to repost and let the board know exactly what kind of power you want and what your setup will be, then one of the experts here will be able to give you all of the advice that you need to get your 455 where you want it.
