That's great information that you gave! Thanks for the lengthy replies and pictures.
The only question I have then is, On my 67 GTO should I just replace the OE rubber grommets on the shifter arms and tranny arms with new and that's it? Or, it appears in the restoration guide that they also used a bushing (like the pit pack), that fits into the outer circle of the grommet, as a spacer between the shift rod and shifter arms and tranny arms to reduce the space?
