I found the stock 3.23's in my 4-speed T/A were great with an 068 cammed 400 but when I upped the cam to a CC XE274 and ported heads they were dogs. 3.73's woke the car right up and were OK on the highway with 26.5" tires and killer in the stoplight chase. Never raced the 068 engine but I'm sure it was high 13 second capable.
