If I remember correctly, I purchased a rebuilt '71 and it bolted up OK. It is pretty big compared to the 64-65, but it worked. I found that the rebuild kit was as much as a unit already rebuilt, so I bought the rebuilt one. If you do get a rebuilt one, ask to look through the ones they have in stock and pick out the best cover. There seemed to be quite a difference in the plating quality. I painted my master cylinder exterior with Martin Senour cast iron gray and it continues to look great.
