Here is the most confusing part of the Tiger Heads story. The heads are available with D ports so "racers stepping up from D-ports won't have to incur the cost of new headers as well."
Someone will spend roughly $7000 on race heads, but not use a set of race headers?
Costs as listed in the DCI catalog:
Standard heads $5550.00
Raised ports $5850.00
Adapter plates required to use Victor intake $???
Rocker shaft system required (T&D or similar) $1000.00
I would love to do a back to back dyno or dragstrip test of the Tiger heads against my Super Chiefs! I learned a long time ago that judging a head by flow bench numbers alone is a big mistake.
