Thanks for the e-mail my computer didn't show any e-mail so I didn't check I apologize. Good luck always liked dirt tracks just couldn't afford it, always willing to help others. I remember doing paint stripping on Don's car. Jim would build motors i n his basement. Jim worked at Pontiac dealership where He helped me order new 74SDTA. Still have it, my VIN was used to order 4 SD rods for that GTO. Another SDVIN was used to order other4 SD rods. You could only order 4 at a time.Jim used to remove dipstick tube and block holewith bolt. pans were I think stock but baffles added to keep oil from crawling sides.Take your oil pump apart even if new! I've seen garbage inside on purpose!Taylor had good article in HPPontiac couple issues ago on oil pumps. Its strange but people have to replace parts mentality but Pontiacs to me always had the right stuff engineered in to them, just needs a little massaging.Like I said before the Chebie guys don't like it much when you wup'em they are going to say your cheatin.Just smile because they are probably cheatin so you have to be right? Good luck
