Your preference for the Endura Bumper was noted, but I read your post correctly the first time.

You referred to the "Endura Bumper option" which was never an option but standard equipment from 1968 - 1972.
In 1970, there was no "delete option" so you were wrong on both counts.
In 1968, Pontiac was not sure of the public's acceptance of the revolutionary "Endura Bumper", so they made a delete option available. After the overwhelming acceptance of the new bumper, the "delete option" was "deleted" for the 1969 and subsequent production years.
It appears that it is your intelligence that is in question here.
